At Vaishali Gems, we grade each diamond so that it is easier for our customers to know exactly what they are buying. Though there are many grading certifications available in the market, we grade our diamonds using an in-built sophisticated grading system which allows us to exert greater control over our manufacturing process and eventually ensuring that we give our customers the best quality in diamonds.
Our grading system is such that many customers even buy our diamonds solely by referring to the grading certifications of the diamonds and not by physically verifying them. With our unique grading system, we do not just grade the diamonds based on Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat but also on other parameters of the diamond.
For those of you who are new to the grading of diamonds, here are the 4Cs based on which a Diamond is graded.
This refers to the symmetry, proportions and the polish of the diamond. This is one of the C’s which is most influenced by the way the diamond has been manufactured. Here, the skills of the craftsman come into the picture.
No two diamonds are the same. Each diamond may have some degree of imperfections in it. Simply speaking, the more imperfections in the diamond, the lesser the value of the diamond goes.
For a diamond, the best part is that the diamond should not have any colour. However, these kinds of diamonds are extremely rare. Most diamonds available have a slightly yellowish to brownish colour which is not possible to see with an untrained eye. The more the colour in the diamond, the lesser the diamond’s value goes. The services of an expert are needed to gauge the colour of a diamond.
This is the unit of measurement used to weigh a diamond. A carat is equal to a fifth of a gram(0.2 gram). The eventual weight of the diamond is the main deciding factor for its value.
